Meet Our Team
Dr. Kaplan has been a part of the Central Florida health community for over 40 years. Born in Brooklyn, NY he went to college there in New York and then dental school at Georgetown University of Dentistry. Immediately after graduating he came to Florida and opened a general dental practice in Eustis, FL where he practiced for 30 years. He then shifted his focus to helping those suffering from snoring, sleep apnea, and TMD and opened the doors to Kaplan Sleep Solutions. He loves meeting with, and spending time with his patients so he puts great emphasis on quality care.
In his off time Dr. Kaplan has many loves. In his younger years he enjoyed building and flying airplanes, racing fast cars, and even skydiving. Now though, his free time is spent with his 3 grandchildren, traveling, and enjoying unique artwork.

Dr. Quevedo is a native of Madison, Tennessee. He graduated from Forest Lake Academy in 1974, and from Southern Missionary College near Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1979. Dr. Quevedo attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1984. After graduation, he bought a practice in Madison, Tennessee where he practiced for 12 years. While there he served as the head of the dental department of the medical staff at Tennessee Christian Medical Center.
Dr. Quevedo is a highly accomplished and skilled dentist in the areas of preventive, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is Invisalign® certified and very adept at Sleep Dentistry with over ten years of experience placing sleep apnea devices. He is deeply committed to staying on the forefront of newer dental advancements by taking an extensive number of continuing education classes annually. He enjoys teaching other dentists about high tech topics such as dental lasers and CEREC Cad/Cam restoration. Dr. Quevedo has authored numerous articles about the latest advancements in dentistry for various dental journals and serves on the Continuing Education Board for DentalTown, the world’s largest dental online forum.

Dr. Shanna Kim is a skilled dentist who provides a wide range of services in preventive, restorative and cosmetic dentistry with a focus on treating sleep apnea and orofacial pain conditions. As one of two practitioners in central Florida that holds the Diplomate status from the American Board of Orofacial Pain, she is highly experienced in the treatment of orofacial pain conditions such as TMD (Temporomandiublar Disorders), jaw pain, headaches and neuropathic pain disorders. Dr. Kim places a strong emphasis on patient education and takes the time to understand her patients’ needs through open communication to establish a trusting relationship with them.
Dr. Kim received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the UCLA School of Dentistry during which she was awarded the Regent’s Scholar Scholarship and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain Outstanding Student Award. She completed her two year residency from the CODA-approved UCLA Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction Program, during which she served as chief resident. She also served as lecturer and clinical instructor for the Department. She has had numerous articles published in various medical and dental journals. Prior to moving to Florida, Dr. Kim worked in private practice treating orofacial pain and sleep disorders and was elected Top Dentist in Orofacial Pain by Phoenix Magazine.
